Key words: host, agree with, sunglasses, key ring, belt, wallet . 2 .Target languages: -----What do you think of Tell it like it is? -----I love it. /I don’t mind it. / I can’t stand it. -----I do, too. / I don’t, either. Teaching Aids: 1. A computer for multimedia use. 2. The real object things. Teaching Methods: 1. Listening and writing methods 2. Oral practice Teaching Procedures Ⅰ. Showing the teaching aims Ⅱ. Revision Get the students to revise kinds of TV shows .Ask: Do you like watching TV? What kinds of TV shows do you like? What do you/ they think of game shows/talk shows/…? What does he/ she think of sports shows/soaps operas/…? Let students answer them. Ⅲ. Leading in Ask: Do you know what other TV shows? Students: English Today/Lucky 52/Animal World/Chinese Cooking /Culture China etc. Then ask students’ opinions. I/They love/like / don’t mind / can’t stand it. He/She loves/likes / doesn’t mind / can’t stand it. Then teach students to make a conversation like this: A: What do you think of English Today? B: I love/like it. A: I do, too. How/What about Chinese Cooking? B: I don’t like it. A: I don’t, either. Let students to work in pairs. Then call some students to show them in class. Ⅳ. Group work (role play) Teacher says: I’m a host/hostess. I want to interview some famous persons: Jackie Chen/Jack Li/Yao Ming /Liu Xian etc. Interview some questions about TV shows. First, I give you example. “Hello, I’m a host/hostess. May I ask you some questions? Yes, Please. What do you think of game shows/talk shows /sports shows/soaps operas/…? I like / don’t mind / can’t stand it. Why? Because it’s boring / interesting/…. Let students to interview in group and show us. Ⅵ.Talk about opinions Teacher: We can use what do you think of…?this sentence to express our opinions. For example: What do you think of your English teacher/math teacher/ your school/your birthday cake/…? Now, look at me. Show some cool (real) things: sunglasses/ key ring/ belt/ wallet/hair clip/scarf/….Let students to ask and answer in pairs. Ⅶ.Discuss Teacher: Next Sunday is Father’s Day. I want to buy present for him. But I don’t know what to buy .Please help me. So let’s discuss what his /her father thinks of it/them. Give your opinions and show us. Teacher: If we no money, what can we do? May be love, smile, study hard are the best. Show your love to your parents. I love you father and mother-----family.Ⅷ.Summary In this class we’ve learned names of commodities. Then we’ve done much oral practice and discuss using the target languages to talk about your likes and dislikes. Ask students to show their loves to their parents. Ⅸ. Homework Write a short passage to show your love to your parents.
