Review the grammar of Unit 10		环节	2.Warming up（ m’）	   话题引入		过程	可询问学生平日最喜欢的活动分别有哪些？然后再回答中逐渐缩小范围，讲环境特定在当停电或者出现突发事件时会做的事情。。
以Free talk 的形式来展开。		环节	3.Words（ m’）	Earthquake/ repair/ shower/ land/ imagine/ alien/ go out / wake up/ take a shower		过程	注意音形义的输入，操练和输出（教师可根据学生情况讲解，侧重动词、形容词、副词、名词）		环节	4.Part a       Look, listen and say（’）	I heard the lights went out in your flats last night.
Emma: Yes. I was watching the World Cup when suddenly we lost all the power. But it came on again after about ten minutes. 
Vicky:  I was coming down the stairs then the lights went out. I almost fell over.
Daniel: Matthew and I were playing table tennis at that time. We couldn’t find the ping-pong anywhere. 
Andrew: I was working on the computer. I lost a whole hour’s work. But this morning I got up early and did it again. What were you doing then?
Rita: I was sleeping, and suddenly the noise from your flats woke me up.
		过程	输入部分：
Listen to the tape 
放录音，鼓励并引导学生第二遍跟读磁带；
进行输入后，由于本课内容较多，教师可先带领学生分析课文
可使用课堂活动：借助手势说话，来操练重点句型 I was….
过程：教师喊一个学生上来，让他来现场表演动作，学生借助观察他的表演才猜测他作了什么。必须使用句型I was …ing when the lights went out.
如果台上学生表演不能让台下学生猜出表达含义就需要换人，倘若有学很快使用正确句型猜出动作，可进行课堂奖励。 
3. 老师加上少许提示，鼓励学生背诵出part a；；		环节	5.Part b（’）		内容	Part b    
     On May12th, 2008, an earthquake happened in Wenchuan, Sichuan. When the earthquake happened, different people were doing different things. Look at the following pictures, and then follow the example to make conversations with your partner. 
Example:

B: I was doing some washing. What about you?
A: I was doing some cleaning.		过程	1老师自由挑选学生并且提问，引导学生根据短语提示进行设计，并和partner一起根据part b的图片和单词提示，模仿part a 口头进行对话的练习

语言点3 land 的用法
land 作名词， 意思为“陆地”， 常见短语有: on land  在陆地上， by land 由陆路。
  例：
Such animals live on land. 这样的动物生活在陆地上。
They will go to Qingdao by land. 他们将走陆路去青岛。
作动词意思为“登陆， 着陆, 降落”。 
  例：
  The plane landed safely. 飞机安全着陆。		环节	3. Grammar focus(10’)		内容	语法点：过去进行时
过去进行时结构：was/ were doing
 常见用法：
表示过去某一时刻正在进行或发生的动作。
例：
         Peter was doing his homework at that time. 那时彼特正在做家庭作业。
表示在过去某一时间段内持续发生的动作。
例：
        What were you doing from nine to eleven last night? 昨晚九点至十一点你在干什么？
3）与when / while 引导的时间状语从句连用。 
          例：
1. Was she playing computer games when you saw her? 你看到她时，她正在玩电子游戏吗？
2. The telephone rang while she was sleeping. 她正睡觉时电话铃响了。
4）与always 连用，用来表示过去一个不断反复的动作，常常有埋怨、讨厌、赞扬或喜爱之意，意为“老是，总是”。
